Unmistakable Inseparable Review

Updated: Dec 22, 2021

A collection of short stories, a collection of love stories.

Rating: 4/5

I received a free copy of Unmistakable Inseparable: 10 German Love Stories by the author, Marny Meyer. In exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you so much for this opportunity! I enjoyed reading this!

The title of this book is a bit misleading I feel, Unmistakable Inseparable: 10 German Love Stories. When I read this title, I assumed this would maybe be about 10 old German love tales, like folklore or maybe retellings of old German love stories. It’s actually none of that, at least from what I could tell. It is in fact, a collection of short stories, a collection of love stories. The only thing truly German about them is all of these take place in Germany or near Germany and have German characters.

Though even with discovering this, it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of reading these love stories. I will admit, I didn’t love all of them. Out of all 10, I loved 7 of them, which is still by far great!

The love stories are all wildly different as well. Not one of them was the same. We even get to see some LGBTQ romances. I enjoyed that they were all different. I never felt bored. All the stories were well-paced, though sometimes there was an occasional rushed scene.

I will say it was fun to read a romance collection, I don’t see those too often. I usually see horror short story collections. After reading these, I’m definitely excited to read her longer novel, Fog of Feelings.

Overall, I loved these stories, even though I didn’t necessarily love all of them. I’m glad I got to read these. This is a must if you enjoy romances. They will definitely give you all the feels and make your heart swell!
