Hello, beasties!
After a slower reading month in March, I'm excited for a fresh start for April!
Last month, despite it being a slower reading month and going into it expecting to read less than the previous months, I still managed to read 7 books. So I have no doubt I'll read a good amount for April too! If I'm honest though any amount of reading I get to, I'm more than happy to have.
These picks for this month are definitely more of guidelines, I have no idea what I'd actually like to pick up this month. I sort of just grabbed some books at random. But I'm excited about all of these!
So what did I pull out to try and read this month?
The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
This is my #PSEnchantedReadsBookClub April pick! I love Riley Sager! I've read a majority of his books, and this has been on my shelf ever since it came out. I'm so happy this was picked to be our book this month!
Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver
I never did pick this up last month, but I really want to among some of my other picks from my 12 Months of Book Recommendations reading challenge. I'm hoping to get through a few this month to catch up on this challenge!
Tongues, Vol. 1 by Anders Nilsen
Another one I didn't pick up from last month but am still eager to read! I'm hoping to get to this within the next week!
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
I am so excited for this book! I love The Hunger Games, it was one of the first series I read growing up. I can't wait to read Haymitch's story!
A Game of Fate by Scarlett St. Clair
A Touch of Darkness was so good! An easy favorite for me! I can't wait to read Hades' perspective and continue this series.
Cold Eternity by S.A. Barnes
This was a gifted book from @tornightfire! I am so excited for this book! I loved Barnes' previous sci-fi horrors - Dead Silence and Ghost Station. I can't wait to see how this one compares!
Barbarian Alien by Ruby Dixon
For February, I finally caved and picked up Ice Planet Barbarians, and surprisingly, I loved it. I'm eager to continue this series and see how the rest of it goes!
The Little Book of the Hidden People by Alda Sigmundsdóttir
This was a little book I picked up filled with stories from Icelandic Folklore. I loved hearing about it while I was there last fall. So I'm excited to dive back into them and learn more about them in this book!
Something is Killing the Children, Vol. 2 by James Tynion IV
This was a series I had picked up a while back and found it fun and enjoyable! I've been wanting to get back into it, and I think this month might be the best time to try!
As I mentioned, I have no idea how much I'll follow these picks, but I do want to try and go through at least some of them! I am excited about all of these! We'll see how this month goes!
Until next time!
